Amari Watergate Bangkok – Executive Room Review

Amari Watergate Bangkok

Planning for your next visit to Bangkok and not sure where to stay in the city centre area? Amari Watergate Bangkok Hotel will be your best bet if you plan to shop at Platinum Mall, Pratunam Market or Central World – which are all within walking distance from the hotel 🙂

It was my second stay at Amari Watergate this time round and I was lucky (again) to get a free upgrade to Executive room.

All executive room guests will get to do their check-ins from this lounge on the 32nd floor.

Enjoy your welcome drink and the view while you wait for the staff to process your check-in. For executive room guests, you can have your breakfast at this lounge, enjoy free tea and coffee in the afternoon, or if you feel like getting alcoholic drinks, you can always come back between 5 to 7 PM to enjoy happy hour.

Once the staff is done with the check-in, he will guide you to your room or elevator, if your room is not on the 32nd floor.

Found this note with a box of chocolate from Amari’s management 🙂

The reason why I was so excited about the upgrade to Executive room was the bathroom! I got to immerse myself in a tub filled with hot water while listening to relaxing songs (read: my favourite Korean songs) 🙂

Amari watergate bangkokIt is definitely a different experience to eat my breakfast on the 32nd floor as I get to enjoy great spread of breakfast with spectacular view at the same time.

Amari watergate bangkokOverall, staying at Amari Watergate was a pleasant experience. The staff was very helpful (and friendly too), the room was spacious and comfortable.

Location-wise, although it’s very near to Platinum Mall, Pratunam market and Central World, it is not so closely located to a train station. But hey, we all tend to eat a little bit more when we are in Bangkok, don’t we? So why not walk to get to Chit Lom BTS station (~ 1km) or if you are against walking, you can always book an Uber, Taxi, Grab Car or Grab Taxi 😀

If you are too tired from all the shopping, you can always visit Breeze Spa in the hotel to enjoy calming and relaxing massage. Or, if you are too tired to head out for dinner, you can always visit Nadimos, the Lebanese restaurant located at the basement of the hotel, which serves really good authentic Lebanese food 🙂

For those who are thinking of booking for a room for your next trip, I would highly recommend you to book directly from their website (click here) as they have the best rate guaranteed! If you find cheaper rates on other websites, you can submit a form here and you will be charged the cheapest rate accordingly and on top of that, you will get additional 20% discount. So, do you still need more reason on why you should book directly from Amari site?

FYI, Amari hotels are available in other locations as well (i.e: Maldives, Phuket, Pattaya etc). You can view the complete list here 🙂
