Hotel Indigo Bangkok Review
Feel like staying in a cool hotel while you are in Bangkok? Why not check out Hotel Indigo Bangkok located at Wireless Road? The Intercontinental hotel group member just opened its doors in Bangkok earlier this year 🙂
Simply put, the hotel is gorgeous. It is also quirky due to the eclectic choice of decorations. When I first arrived, the lobby greeted me with its tall ceilings and plenty of natural light, coupled with sweeping curtains and warm wooden accents. It gave off a very classy and grand vibe, that was chic and contemporary at the same time.
The first thing that I noticed when I entered the hotel was this wonderful calming scent that filled the entire lobby. Then, as I headed over to the receptions counter, a lady greeted me with a wide smile, ready to assist with the check in process. I am so glad to have chosen this hotel! 🙂
I came at around 9 to 10AM thinking that I would just drop my luggage and head over to their cafe to do my work. But who would have guessed that the lady at the counter actually helped me to get an early check-in! I was lucky that the room was available at that time 🙂 To sweeten the deal even more, I was offered a complimentary welcome drink, which was a refreshing glass of Thai black tea. Perfect! 🙂
Just before she passed me the room key, she asked for my intended check-out time. And surprise, surprise, I was told that as an IHG member I could check out latest by 2 PM, 2 hours after the usual time. So guys, I would highly recommend everyone to join their loyalty programme. Let’s see the room now, shall we? 🙂
The executive room was huge, comfortable, homey and very Insta-worthy!! The white bedsheet and that colourful rug! Oh my – my experience with Hotel Indigo could not have been any better!
Don’t even get me started on their bathroom. The tiles in the shower room were so classy. The gold-coated shower handle and sink too… everything was just lovely.
The bath tub, the most exciting part of all, was exactly what I needed! Make sure to lower down the privacy blinds when you bathe as your bathroom may be facing an office building – you would not want to give these people free entertainment 😉The room itself was perfect for work and it was very conducive – especially with its comfortable, homey and modern designs. If you are bored working from the working desk, you can always move to the sofa, balcony or even to the comfortable bed. But just make sure you don’t fall asleep afterwards 🙂
I spent most of my Friday working from my hotel room and the fact that I could move around between the various spots to work was just perfect.
But, if you are looking for something different, you can head over to the pool in the afternoon and enjoy the sunset!
It was definitely a place where I could stay all day doing work, writing a blog post or even just lazing around 🙂
Rooms are available starting from THB 3,040 (~ SGD 120), excluding breakfast. I did my booking directly from their website as they offered the cheapest rate among all 🙂 To book your next stay at this hotel, you can visit their site via this link!
