Postcards: Tokyo Sunset at Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building

I am a sunset person – I love sunsets (probably sunrises too but I never wake up early enough for them). So whenever I travel a personal favorite thing to do is to find iconic places to catch sunsets. I was recently in Tokyo in May and had time for a sunset run, so I did a quick Google search and found that one of the best places to catch a Tokyo sunset is at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

The sun had started its descent when I finished my business in Shibuya, and I decided I had time to walk around and just enjoy the city for a bit – after all it was a really lovely day. So I walked from Shibuya to Harajuku, and then braved the rush hour trains to Shinjuku. From Shinjuku station South Exit it was a 10-minute walk to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

Here are some postcards from my short jaunt – enjoy 😉

If you are in Shibuya, visit this observation lounge on the 11th floor of Shibuya Hikarie – it looks absolutely like something out of Inception movie!
